Recycling and other necessary information

What is recycling?
Recycling is the processing of wastes that can be recycled through various processes and re-inclusion in the production process. Recycling has started to gain great importance with the decrease in resources worldwide. The need for recycling is increasing day by day.
Purpose of recycling
The most important purpose of recycling is to reduce the amount of waste rubbish and to prevent the depletion of resources and to prevent unnecessary use of resources. The aim of recycling is to collect wastes with the same type of raw material and content in the same place. Recycling also prevents problems such as transporting or storing solid wastes. The positive use of resources contributes to the environment and economy. Because the resources on earth are limited.
What should we do about it?
If you want to contribute to recycling, what you will do is actually very simple. You should consume recyclable resources. For example, it takes centuries for plastic bags thrown into nature to dissolve. This is exactly why it is important to avoid plastic bags as much as possible. Likewise, not throwing the products we consume directly into the garbage and collecting and classifying them in a way that can be recycled are among the simplest tasks we can do.

Meaning of the symbol PAP 20

PAP 20 is a recycling code/logo indicating that packaging is manufactured using corrugated cardboard. The PAP symbol on the packaging is the abbreviation of the word "paper" in English. The use of PAP symbols is a requirement of the EU Packaging Waste Directive 94/62/EC. Other PAP codes apply to different paper-based products, including PAP 21 (non-corrugated fibreboard) and PAP 22 (regular paper).
More than half of the recyclable waste is paper and cardboard. Whilst only 3 PAP codes are currently defined, The EU has reserved numbers 20 to 39 for other paper-based products.

Cardboard Shoe Box:  Cardboard shoe boxes can be recycled in most recycling programs. Flatten the box and remove any tape before placing it in your recycling bin.

When you recycle packaging by dropping it off at designated collection points, you are helping to protect the environment and the world's natural resources. Remember, all packaging waste should be clean and dry before it goes into the recycling bin, as this will prevent contamination.

Since the cardboard shoe box is made of corrugated cardboard, it is considered as PAP 20 class recycling packaging.

Meaning of the symbol PET 01

PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) is a thermoplastic polymer used in the production of plastic bottles and films. Compared to other plastics, it has good strength, lightweight, thermal stability. PET plastic is a thermoplastic polymer widely used for high-quality packaging applications. It is used for bottles and containers, textiles and footwear, medical devices, and food packaging. It also has many other industrial uses. In the context of textile applications, the common name PET is referred to as polyester, while the abbreviation PET is often used in relation to packaging. PET/PETE products can be recycled.

Reusable Shoe Bag: Non-woven fabrics are broadly defined as sheet or web structures bonded together by entangling fiber or filaments (and by perforating films) mechanically, thermally, or chemically. They are flat or tufted porous sheets that are made directly from separate fibres, molten plastic, or plastic film.

Please make sure that the bag is clean and dry and remove the label if there is any before placing it in your recycling bin.

The shoe bag is a PET 01 class material suitable for recycling.
